Resumo: The genesis of Institutional Analysis is inseparable from the social and historical conditions that produced it and the articulation between theory and practice is its fundamental feature. To better explain some aspects of that origin, our paper presents some contributions by René Lourau, Georges Lapassade and Félix Guattari who helped establish that discipline. The meanings of the word intervention are also presented and discussed to demonstrate the specificity of Socio-analysis, which is Institutional Analysis in situation. We further highlight that all interventions occur within a broader context, hence the need to distinguish and to articulate the field of analysis and the field of intervention. To this end, the concepts of implication and transduction must be associated. We present some implementations of Institutional Analysis in Collective Health to demonstrate its possible application and at the same time to identify some transformations of the socio-analytical intervention in recent years
