"THEOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE": 50 YEARS OF THEOLOGICAL REFLECTION AND ECCLESIAL COMMITMENT

Resumo: This is a brief analysis of the theological-history of the journal of Perspectiva Teológica as it celebrates its 50th anniversary (1969 ”” 2019). This article focuses on the questions of identity, specificity, and mission of this journal. The editorials start with a brief explanation on the choice of methodology of this journal as the main bibliographical principle of this present study. Then we present three main phases in the history of the journal of Perspectiva Teológica. Emphasizing on its pastoral-ecclesial character, we take a panoramic view at the Second Vatican Council and the Post-conciliar General Conferences of the Latin-american Episcopate. Given that ecclesiology and theology, which are like praxis and theory, are mutually necessary, we dedicate some space for the pontificate of Pope Francis and Liberation Theology with its present challenges. Lastly the conclusion highlights, in the form of a synthesis, the central characteristics of the journal of Perspectiva Teológica that it maintains, promotes, reflects, and communicates.

Após um breve esclarecimento com vistas a justificar a opção metodológica pelos editoriais da Revista como fonte bibliográfica principal do presente estudo, apresentamos as três fases da história da Perspectiva Teológica. Em seguida, na intenção de sublinhar o seu caráter pastoral-eclesial, lançamos um olhar panorâmico para o Concilio Vaticano II e as Conferências Gerais do Episcopado latino-americano pós-conciliares. Como a eclesiologia e a teologia, tal como a práxis e a teoria, se exigem mutuamente, dedicamos algum espaço ao Pontificado do Papa Francisco e a Teologia da Libertação com suas interpelações atuais.
