Resumo: | Bees are living beings of high importance for the maintenance of the ecosystem in which we humans are inserted. Through this study, questions are raised that involve the use of fipronil, active ingredient of several agrochemicals, which are allied to the growing demand of agriculture. Fipronil is a systemic insecticide lethal to insects causing neural hyperexcitation, and has been identified as one of the responsible for almost half a billion bee deaths between the end of 2018 and early 2019, mainly in the southern region of Brazil due to its incorrect use by means of aerial spraying or in flowering season, and the environmental impacts caused on the fauna and flora where these agrochemicals are sprayed, in addition to the risk to the health of those who handle them and of the population that resides close to the crops. From the data obtained, using the Maguerez Bow methodology, it was possible to observe that there are problems related to the use of pesticides in Brazilian crops that influenced bee deaths, suggesting actions that can be applied in order to minimize the damage and instruct on correct use and handling of chemicals intended for agriculture. |

Através deste estudo são levantadas questões que envolvem o uso do fipronil, princípio ativo de diversos agroquímicos, que são aliados à crescente demanda da agricultura. O fipronil é um inseticida sistêmico letal aos insetos causando hiperexcitação neural, e vem sendo apontado como um dos responsáveis por quase meio bilhão de mortes de abelhas entre o fim do ano de 2018 e início de 2019, principalmente na região sul do Brasil devido ao seu uso incorreto por meio de pulverização aérea ou em época de floração, e aos impactos ambientais causados na fauna e flora onde estes agroquímicos são pulverizados, além do risco a saúde de quem os manuseia e da população que reside próxima as lavouras.
