Using RFID in empty container operation storage yards

Resumo: The management of container storage yards requires investments in technological resources IT to obtain adequate control of the distinction of empty containers by shipowners, whose operational effectiveness depends on the strategic application of these technical resources for better management of containers. In the case of container transport or storage, a simple delivery time error made by the logistics operator is crucial to the lead time of their inventory control process. The method of this research is a case study. It is observed that there is georeferenced information on stocks in the storage yard, which feeds the best geography of positioning containers in the stacks, more appropriate to their destination. In this RFID organizational model, there is more incredible speed in handling equipment by service order to meet the physical processes of materials from the displacement of the supplier's cargo between container storage yards, mainly where the availability of more collaborative technological solutions can be accepted. Planning inventory management for your destinations.A gestão de pátios de contêineres necessita de investimentos em recursos tecnológicos em TI, para obter o controle adequado da distinção de contêineres vazios, por armador, cuja eficácia operacional depende da aplicação estratégica destes recursos tecnológicos para melhor gestão dos contêineres.  No caso do transporte de contêineres ou armazenamento, um simples erro de prazo de entrega executado pelo operador logístico é crucial ao lead time do processo de controle inventário deles. O método deste trabalho é um estudo de caso. Observa-se que existem informações georreferenciadas de estoques no pátio, as quais alimentam a melhor geografia de posicionamento de contêineres nas pilhas, mais adequadas ao seu destino.
