Resumo: This article presents the results of a case study of a synthetic leather company in Novo Hamburgo (Rio Grande do Sul), aiming to discover the perception of its workers regarding the firm’s internal communication and the possible relationship with the different sectors of those interviewed. A questionnaire was given to the employees in various sectors of the company and their responses were analyzed and compared to the findings reported by other authors in similar studies. The results show that communication is determined by emotional, psychological and situational factors, as well as personal perception, all of which should be considered in the communication process.
