Resumo: The aim of the present study is to analyze the probability of victimization of violence committed by police in Brazil. For this, a Probit model is used to establish probability relationships for individuals to be victims through some socioeconomic factors, such as sex, race, education, age, income and place of residence. The main results show that male individuals, black or brown, who live in urban areas and have a low level of education are more likely to be victims of police violence, while the level of income and the federal region of residence were not significant factors.
