Resumo: The study starts from journalistic records on the trajectory of the “Novo Cangaço”, a criminal group led by indigenous from Pernambuco of the Truká ethnicity, and their confrontation with PMGO, to analyze how PMGO recalls the episodes of this confrontation in a Charlie Mike (a military song) during activity of a police training course. Charlie Mike is considered here as a rite of memorization of military mythology where new classes are presented with an idealized image of military values.
