Resumo: This paper presents some results of a research that discusses the processes of authorship and the aesthetic organization of the diary genre, where writing is considered an ethical and responsible act of interaction between the world of life and the world of theory. The material comprises 21 diaries written by three farmer brothers, which were examined based on the principles of Bakhtin’s dialogical discourse analysis. The results of the analysis show that the aesthetics of life is inscribed in the ethical and responsible act of writing performed by the three farmer brothers and organized by authors-creators in the diaries as a genre of discourse.

El material de análisis corresponde a 21 diarios escritos por tres hermanos agricultores, que fueron problematizados en base a los principios del análisis dialógico del discurso del Círculo de Bakhtin. Los resultados del análisis demuestran que la estética de la vida está inscrita en el acto ético y responsable de la escritura realizada por los tres hermanos agricultores y organizada por los autores-creadores en los diarios como género del discurso.  O artigo apresenta alguns resultados de pesquisa e discute os processos da autoria e a organização estética do gênero diário, tendo a escrita como ato ético e responsável de interação entre o mundo da vida e o mundo da teoria. O material de análise corresponde a 21 diários escritos por três irmãos agricultores, que foram problematizados com base nos princípios da análise dialógica do discurso do Círculo de Bakhtin.
