Resumo: Introduction: Admission to university can significantly alter students' lifestyle by favoring variations in weight. The objective was to identify the variations of weight and its relation with the Lifestyle of university students of the health area, during the first year of graduation. Method: Field research, prospective, longitudinal and quantitative data analysis with 123 university students from a health education institution. Results: The weight variation at the end of the first semester was -6.3 to 20.5kg, with a median of 0.7kg. In the second semester it varied from -17.0 to 5.1kg, with a median of 0.3kg. The variation of the Fantastic Lifestyle score at the end of the first semester was -36 to 16, with a median of -5 points. In the second semester the variation was -24 to 18, with a median of zero points. Conclusion: The weight gain was greater than the loss in the two semesters. In the first semester, the worsening in lifestyle predominated in those who gained and those who lost weight. In the second semester, it was observed that the worsening of the lifestyle was greater among those who gained weight, however, among those who lost weight predominated students who improved the lifestyle.

Objetivo: Identificar as variações de peso e sua relação com o Estilo de Vida em universitários da área da saúde, durante o primeiro ano de graduação. Material e Método: Pesquisa de campo, prospectiva, longitudinal e de análise quantitativa dos dados com 123 universitários de uma instituição de ensino na área da saúde. Resultados: A variação de peso ao final doprimeiro semestre foi de -6,3 a 20,5 kg, com mediana de 0,7 kg. No segundo semestre variou de -17,0 a 5,1 kg, com mediana de 0,3 kg. A variação da pontuação do Estilo de Vida Fantástico ao final do primeiro semestre foi de -36 a 16, com mediana de -5 pontos. No segundo semestre, a variação foi de -24 a 18, com mediana de 0 pontos. Conclusão: O ganho de peso foi maior que a perda nos dois semestres. No primeiro semestre, a piora no estilo de vida predominou nos que ganharam e nos que perderam peso. No segundo semestre, observou-se que a piora no estilo de vida foi maior entre os que ganharam peso, porém, entre os que perderam peso, predominaram estudantes que melhoraram o estilo de vida.Palavras-chave: Estudantes de Ciências da Saúde, Perda de peso, Ganho de peso, Estilo de vida.
