Resumo: Introduction: Cardiogenic Shock is an acute state of decreased cardiac output, resulting in inadequate tissue perfusion. For patients affected by Cardiogenic Shock, it is undoubted that they are constantly monitored. The Swan Ganz catheter is an invasive method of hemodynamic monitoring, it allows the continuous assessment of flow and pressure, in addition to oxygen supply and consumption, allowing an uninterrupted view of cardiac function. As a non-invasive method, the Echocardiogram exam is used, in which we can also evaluate the hemodynamic parameters and is an exam that uses sound waves to form images of the heart, valves and other cardiac structures. Thus, it is extremely important to be aware of the methods that can contribute to hemodynamic evaluation and why invasive methods are being used only in extremely critical patients. Thus, reducing the complications generated by the incorrect handling of the Swan Ganz. Objectives: To identify cardiovascular parameters in patients with Cardiogenic Shock evaluated on Echocardiography and Swan Ganz; Compare the cardiovascular parameters obtained in the Echocardiogram and Swan Ganz; establish the advantages and disadvantages of non-invasive (Echocardiogram) and invasive (Swan Ganz) techniques. Method: This is a quantitative, descriptive and retrospective study. The sample was non-probabilistic, comprising the inclusion of data from patients with Cardiogenic Shock who underwent catheterization with Swan Ganz and/or underwent the Echocardiogram exam, from January/2019 to June/2022. Results: We observed that the Swan Ganz and the Echocardiogram, when used together, both have reliable values. Our sample had a total of 36% using invasive and non-invasive modalities together. About 40% highlighted the Echocardiogram as the predominant non-invasive monitoring. Conclusion: The present study allowed, through the analysis of simple and multiple logistic regression, to identify and compare the hemodynamic parameters evaluated in the Echocardiogram and Swan Ganz. Together, both modalities complement each other, bringing reliable results for better management of critical patients.
