Resumo: | The article endeavors to analyze the social contexts in which the political activity takes place, on large scale, populated and complex societies, and contrast it, in a critical manner, with the presuppositions adopted by four influential authors of contemporary democratic theory: Joseph Schumpeter, Robert A. Dahl, Anthony Downs and Giovanni Sartori. From the point of view of political dispute as struggle of idées-forces, elaborated by Bourdieu, the article seeks to improve the ¿institutional arrangement¿ of contemporary liberal democracies through the regulation of mass media, creating more balanced opportunities to disputing groups to show their political ide |

Dahl, Anthony Downs e Giovanni Sartori. Editora FGV2003-08-01info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.fgv.br/reh/article/view/2187Revista Estudos Históricos; Vol. 1 No. 31 (2003): Media; 106-126Revista Estudos Históricos; v. 1 n. 31 (2003): Mídia; 106-1262178-14940103-2186reponame:Estudos Históricos (Rio de Janeiro)instname:Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV)instacron:FGVporhttps://periodicos.fgv.br/reh/article/view/2187/1326Vogel, Luiz Henriqueinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2017-06-14T20:59:56Zoai:ojs.periodicos.fgv.br:article/2187Revistahttps://periodicos.fgv.br/rehONGhttps://periodicos.fgv.br/reh/oai||biblioteca.digital@fgv.br||eh@fgv.br2178-14940103-2186opendoar:2024-03-06T13:01:40.916353Estudos Históricos (Rio de Janeiro) - Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV)true |
