Resumo: This paper investigates ethnic relations between Italians, Jews and Koreans in Bom Retiro, a neighborhood next to São Paulo downtown. From the end of the 19th century onwards, these groups have successively lived in this area, conferring to it an indisputable ethnic look. The author sustains that occupational and generational features favored the inter-ethnic sociability.

A partir de sua abertura, ao final do século XIX, esses grupos habitaram o bairro sucessivamente, conferindo até hoje a essa região próxima ao centro paulistano um colorido étnico indelével.
