Associativism and the Elites of the Judiciary and the Public Prosecutor’s Office

Resumo: The article addresses the connection between associativism and the production of elites in the Judiciary and the Public Prosecutor’s Office. By comparing the career paths of the presidents of the state associations in these professions, the relationship between holding the presidency and occupying high-ranking positions in the top courts and state public prosecutor’s offices was analyzed comparatively. The occupation of other prominent positions within these institutions and within national associations was also considered. The results indicate the significant importance of the associative space in the production of leadership within these institutions, with relevant historical and regional variations.

A partir de la comparación de las trayectorias de los presidentes de las asociaciones de los estados en estas carreras, se analizó, de manera comparativa, la relación entre el paso por la presidencia y la ocupación de cargos en la cúpula de los tribunales y de los ministerios públicos de los estados. También se tuvo en cuenta la ocupación de otros cargos destacados en el ámbito de estas instituciones y en el marco de las asociaciones nacionales. Los resultados revelan la importancia significativa del espacio asociativo en la producción de liderazgos en estas instituciones, con relevantes variaciones históricas y regionales.O artigo aborda a conexão entre o associativismo e a produção de elites na Magistratura e no Ministério Público.
