Resumo: | In a light, humorous tone, the bibliophile and entrepreneur José Mindlin opens his library to the reading public and invites us on a visit to the rarest of books written by travelers to Brazil. Highlighting titles from the sixteenth through nineteenth centuries, the author takes obvious delight in commenting on works that, by virtue of their originality or their exoticism, have earned their place on the shelves of history. Readers are also offered an annotated bibliography prepared by the author. |
