Resumo: | A historical analysis of masonries in Rio de Janeiro in the years of 1820-30. The masonries are taken as one of the forms of sociability in the period of independence and construction of the Brazilian national State, marked by dichotomies and ambiguities between shades and Enlightment. The article defines the concept of sociability it uses and the social, political and economical ideas of the masonries, which are seen as specific organizations not carrying a proper ideology, and are defined in the plural and not as a homogeneous and unified center. The article uses documental sources from archives in France and Brazil, alongside with theoretical and analytical references. |

Editora FGV2001-02-25info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.fgv.br/reh/article/view/2147Revista Estudos Históricos; Vol. 2 No. 28 (2001): Sociabilities; 3-22Revista Estudos Históricos; v. 2 n. 28 (2001): Sociabilidades; 3-222178-14940103-2186reponame:Estudos Históricos (Rio de Janeiro)instname:Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV)instacron:FGVporhttps://periodicos.fgv.br/reh/article/view/2147/1286Morel, Marcoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2017-06-14T21:00:44Zoai:ojs.periodicos.fgv.br:article/2147Revistahttps://periodicos.fgv.br/rehONGhttps://periodicos.fgv.br/reh/oai||biblioteca.digital@fgv.br||eh@fgv.br2178-14940103-2186opendoar:2024-03-06T13:01:38.830252Estudos Históricos (Rio de Janeiro) - Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV)true |
