Resumo: | This article is the result of a study that takes as its object of observation the state of Bahia with the objective to make a contribution for the improvement of agrarian reform in Brazil. For this analysis was selected the settlement of Cascata, located in the municipality of Aurelino Leal, situated in the extreme south of Bahia. This regional selection has proved useful for two main reasons: to represent their first experience of resettlement programs in the state of Bahia, and it reflects the experiences of sustainable socioeconomic development in the form of cooperatives, involving most of the settlements in the region studied. |
