Resumo: Confronted with the country's present framework of political and party action, in which the rising of different party representations led to a correlation of as yet not completely consolidated forces, the authors intend to examine the origin and evolution of the new political reality in Brazil, thus trying to avoid the mistake of immediate analysis without a perspective on1y historical experience can provide.
