Resumo: At the Rio+20 conference of the United Nations (UN) on sustainable development, two issues were discussed: the green economy and the institutional framework for sustainable development. To contribute to the discussion of the latter issue, we investigated the role of developing countries for the institutional dimension of sustainable development in the perception of the UN. To this end, guided by critical discourse analysis, we analyzed the report which examines the themes of this conference and found at least two roles assigned to developing countries: recipients and beneficiaries of international investment funds for sustainable development and unsustainable producers and consumers.

Escola Brasileira de Administração Pública e de Empresas da Fundação Getulio Vargas2012-09-28info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.fgv.br/cadernosebape/article/view/5491Cadernos EBAPE.BR; Vol. 10 No. 3 (2012) - RIO+20; 701 a 720Cadernos EBAPE.BR; Vol. 10 Núm. 3 (2012) - RIO+20; 701 a 720Cadernos EBAPE.BR; v. 10 n. 3 (2012) - RIO+20; 701 a 7201679-3951reponame:Cadernos EBAPE.BRinstname:Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV)instacron:FGVporhttps://periodicos.fgv.br/cadernosebape/article/view/5491/4211de Melo, Paulo Thiago Nunes Bezerrade Salles, Helena Kuertenvan Bellen, Hans Michaelinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2023-02-23T19:25:18Zoai:ojs.periodicos.fgv.br:article/5491Revistahttps://periodicos.fgv.br/cadernosebapehttps://periodicos.fgv.br/cadernosebape/oaicadernosebape@fgv.br||cadernosebape@fgv.br1679-39511679-3951opendoar:2024-05-13T09:59:42.331837Cadernos EBAPE.BR - Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV)true
