Resumo: | This article describes an ethnobotanical study conducted in Oriximiná-PA, in order to identify the main species reported as useful in the treatment of the urinary tract. Ninety urban residents were interviewed, appointed by Community Health Agents, after holding focus groups to present the project and discuss the use of medicinal plants. The age group of the interviewees ranged between 22 and 89 years, with a predominance of females. 28 ethnospecies distributed in 21 families were cited. Most cited taxa were Phyllanthus niruri L., Costus spicatus (Jacq) Sw., Justicia cf. pectoralis Jacq., Persea americana Mill., Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.. As for the analysis of the pharmacological studies published in the database, the quantity for Ananas comosus (650) and Phyllanthus niruri (646) were similar, while Persea americana showed approximately 57% more to the previous two (1130). Costus spicatus is in disagreement as it presents a reduced number of studies (42). When analyzing the presence of these species in 42 ethnobotanical researches in the Amazon region, it is noted that the most present is Persea americana (29), followed by Phyllanthus niruri (22), Costus spicatus (21) and Ananas comosus (20). However, only Persea americana and Phyllanthus niruri are present in current regulations. |

Centro de Inovação em Biodiversidade e Saúde - Farmanguinhos/Fiocruz2023-03-31info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdftext/htmltext/xmlhttps://revistafitos.far.fiocruz.br/index.php/revista-fitos/article/view/120410.32712/2446-4775.2022.1204Revista Fitos; Vol. 17 No. 1 (2023); 29-52Revista Fitos; Vol. 17 Núm. 1 (2023); 29-52Revista Fitos; v. 17 n. 1 (2023); 29-522446-47751808-9569reponame:Revista Fitosinstname:Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (FIOCRUZ)instacron:FIOCRUZporhttps://revistafitos.far.fiocruz.br/index.php/revista-fitos/article/view/1204/1329https://revistafitos.far.fiocruz.br/index.php/revista-fitos/article/view/1204/1330https://revistafitos.far.fiocruz.br/index.php/revista-fitos/article/view/1204/1371Copyright (c) 2022 Revista Fitoshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSantos, Ariane Cristian Pinheiro dosLeda, Paulo Henrique de OliveiraTalgatti, Dávia MarcianaPaulo Henrique de2023-04-17T20:10:10Zoai:ojs.revistafitos.far.fiocruz.br:article/1204Revistahttps://revistafitos.far.fiocruz.br/index.php/revista-fitos/PUBhttp://revistafitos.far.fiocruz.br/index.php/revista-fitos/oairevistafitos@far.fiocruz.br || eugenio.telles@far.fiocruz.br2446-47752446-4775opendoar:2023-04-17T20:10:10Revista Fitos - Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (FIOCRUZ)false |
