Resumo: The objective of this work was to evaluate the effects of extracts produced with different parts of Crotalaria and Millet at different concentrations on germination and growth of tomato seedlings. For the preparation of extracts were used: roots, leaves and inflorescences, separately. The concentrations used were: 0, 25, 50 and 100%. The variables analyzed were: germination (percentage and speed index), seedling length and dry mass (roots and shoots). The results were subjected to analysis of variance, comparison of means, and regression. Crotalaria and millet extracts, separately, exert allelopathic effects on tomato seeds. Crotalaria root and leaf extracts reduce germination and shoot dry mass of tomato seedlings, respectively. There are no differences regarding the effects generated by extracts of millet plants made from roots, leaves or inflorescences for the variables germination, root length, and seedling dry mass. There is a direct relationship between the increase in the concentration of extracts, regardless of the part of the plant used, and the reduction in germination and seedling growth (Crotalaria breviflora extract) and the germination speed index and seedling growth (millet extract) of tomato.

Centro de Inovação em Biodiversidade e Saúde - Farmanguinhos/Fiocruz2022-12-20info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdftext/htmltext/xmlhttps://revistafitos.far.fiocruz.br/index.php/revista-fitos/article/view/140210.32712/2446-4775.2022.1402Revista Fitos; Vol. 16 No. 4 (2022); 456-464Revista Fitos; Vol. 16 Núm. 4 (2022); 456-464Revista Fitos; v. 16 n. 4 (2022); 456-4642446-47751808-9569reponame:Revista Fitosinstname:Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (FIOCRUZ)instacron:FIOCRUZporhttps://revistafitos.far.fiocruz.br/index.php/revista-fitos/article/view/1402/1107https://revistafitos.far.fiocruz.br/index.php/revista-fitos/article/view/1402/1108https://revistafitos.far.fiocruz.br/index.php/revista-fitos/article/view/1402/1341Copyright (c) 2022 Revista Fitoshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessArruda, Aline Glecia Moreira deSilva, Vanessa Neumann2022-12-20T17:55:43Zoai:ojs.revistafitos.far.fiocruz.br:article/1402Revistahttps://revistafitos.far.fiocruz.br/index.php/revista-fitos/PUBhttp://revistafitos.far.fiocruz.br/index.php/revista-fitos/oairevistafitos@far.fiocruz.br || eugenio.telles@far.fiocruz.br2446-47752446-4775opendoar:2022-12-20T17:55:43Revista Fitos - Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (FIOCRUZ)false
