Resumo: | Epimastigotes were found multiplying in the anal glands and in hemocultures of an opossum; rare metacyclics were seen in the cultures. The flagellate is possibly T. (Megatrypanum) freitasi Rego, Magalhães & Siqueira, 1957, but its final identification is still pending. |
