Communication, education in the work process and the care in the public health of the Rio Grande do Sul: scenarios and challenges

Resumo: The National Policy on Permanent Education in Health (PNEPS) prioritizes spaces for learning at work, from the problems and needs encountered in this context, encouraging autonomy and resoluteness in coping with those problems. However, some health workers are not familiar with those spaces in order to reflect about their actions. The Social Communication professional, in the field of health, helps to socialize movements and changes. This qualitative study aimed to investigate whether health workers relate to Continuing Health Education (EPS) with activities in their work context and the contribution of communication in this process with activities in their work context and the contribution of communication in this process in health. A questioner was delivered to 300 employees of 13 cities of the Rio Grande do Sul state, whose answers were submitted to descriptive analysis. Workers list actions, EPS elements, in their practices without relating them with the EPS and the communication in the health areas was shown to be weak, as to the purposes of PNEPS.

Sin embargo, algunos trabajadores de la salud no conocen a ese espacio para reflexionar en cuanto a sus acciones. El profesional de Comunicación Social, en el campo da salud, contribuye para socializar movimientos y cambios. Ese estudio cualitativo tuvo el objetivo de investigar si los trabajadores de la salud relacionan la Educación Permanente en Salud (EPS) con las actividades en su contexto laboral y la contribución de la comunicación en ese proceso en salud. Fueron cuestionados 300 trabajadores de la salud de 13 municipios de Rio Grande do Sul, cuyas respuestas fueron sometidas al análisis descriptivo. Los trabajadores citan acciones, elementos de la EPS, en sus prácticas, sin relacionarlas con la misma y la comunicación en salud se presenta tenue, en cuanto a los propósitos da PNEPS.A Política Nacional de Educação Permanente em Saúde (PNEPS) prioriza espaços para aprendizagem no trabalho a partir dos problemas e necessidades detectados nesse contexto, incentivando autonomia e resolutividade nos enfrentamentos. Contudo, alguns trabalhadores da saúde desconhecem esse espaço para refletir sobre as suas ações. O profissional da Comunicação Social, no campo da saúde, contribui para socializar movimentos e mudanças. Esse estudo qualitativo objetivou investigar se os trabalhadores da saúde relacionam a Educação Permanente em Saúde (EPS) com as atividades no seu contexto laboral e a contribuição da comunicação nesse processo em saúde. Foram questionados 300 trabalhadores da saúde de 13 municípios do Rio Grande do Sul, cujas respostas foram submetidas à análise descritiva.
