Resumo: | When the logistics started to make part of the supply chain, collecting value to the processes in accordance with the conception of the clients, feeling like employees of partial time, it started to be a determinant that the organizations rethinking the whole logistics process, in a less operational and more strategic approach. While it was seen as an activity of the rearguard, far from the customer, its instrumental reason was enough to operationalize the processes. However, when logistics requires humanization to give a quality service, with cordiality and promptness, that satisfy the costumer, requires the application of substantive rationality. Before this context, this study based on bibliographical inquiries and of field, has the objective to check if the management of the area of logistics integrated by the elements of the rationality substantive, through practices that promote the realization of the potential, the autonomy and the ethics in the work, can promote the elevation of the self esteem of the employees, stimulating them being more efficient in its performances. The results show what the rationality substantive can promote the elevation of the self esteem of the respondents, stimulating them being more efficient in his performances. |

The results show what the rationality substantive can promote the elevation of the self esteem of the respondents, stimulating them being more efficient in his performances.Quando a logística passou a fazer parte da cadeia de suprimentos, agregando valor aos processos de acordo com a concepção dos clientes, vistos como funcionários de tempo parcial, passou a ser determinante que as organizações repensassem todo o processo logístico, num enfoque menos operacional e mais estratégico. Enquanto era vista como atividade da retaguarda, afastada do cliente, a razão instrumental era suficiente para operacionalizar os processos. Contudo, quando a logística precisa se humanizar para prestar um serviço de qualidade, com cordialidade e presteza, e que satisfaça ao cliente, a razão substantiva é requerida. Diante desse contexto, este estudo, baseado em pesquisas bibliográficas e de campo, tem o objetivo de verificar se a gestão da área de logística norteada pelos elementos da racionalidade substantiva, por meio de práticas que promovam a realização do potencial, a autonomia e a ética no trabalho, pode promover a elevação da autoestima dos empregados, incentivando-os a serem mais eficazes em seus desempenhos.
