Resumo: Background: Carcinoid tumors are rare neuroendocrine neoplasms of slow growth. In most reported cases in the literature, they are diagnosed between the fifth and sixth decades of life, manifested byrecurrent pulmonary infections, cough, hemoptysis, or wheezing. It can be classified into typical and atypical and the optimal treatment is surgical resection.Objective: To report a case of Pulmonary Carcinoid Tumor.Methods: Review of medical records.Case Report: Patient, female, 46 years old, asymptomatic, referred to the Department of Thoracic Surgery due to an incidental finding on chest radiograph of a mass located in the middle third of the left lung. Pulmonary lobectomy was performed as surgical treatment, with a satisfactory outcome. The diagnosis of pulmonary carcinoid tumor was confirmed by immunohistochemistry.Conclusion: This report emphasized that the best treatment for pulmonary carcinoid tumors is surgical resection, with an excellent prognosis.

A maioria dos casos registrados na literatura é diagnosticada entre a quinta e sexta décadas de vida e se manifesta através de infecções pulmonares recorrentes, tosse, hemoptise ou chiado no peito. Classificam-se em típicos e atípicos e o tratamento ideal é a ressecção cirúrgica.Objetivo: Relatar um caso de Tumor Carcinóide Pulmonar.Método: Revisão de prontuárioRelato de Caso: Paciente, sexo feminino, 46 anos, assintomática, encaminhada ao serviço de Cirurgia Torácica devido a um achado incidental na radiografia de tórax de uma massa localizada em terço médio do pulmão esquerdo. Submetida a lobectomia pulmonar como tratamento cirúrgico, apresentando evolução satisfatória.
