Sociodemographic and obstetric profile of HIV-positive pregnant women in a hospital and maternity hospital

Resumo: | Sexually Transmitted Infections grow exponentially and affect all social groups and life cycles, especially in pregnant women, due to their condition/phase of greater immunological and psycho-emotional vulnerability. The aim of this study was to describe the sociodemographicand obstetric profile of HIV-positive pregnant women in a hospital and maternity hospital. This is an exploratory, quantitative, retrospective study with document analysis.Data from medical records of pregnant women from a hospital in the interior of Ceará state were used. Thevariables analyzed were related to the sociodemographic/obstetric profile of HIV-positive pregnant women. Froma total of 1,150 records analyzed, 04 pregnant women were diagnosed as HIV positive, corresponding to 0.35%.Regarding marital status, married women prevailed (50%); cesarean delivery predominated (75%); the number of consultations was seven or more 4/4 (100%); regarding gestational age at delivery, there was a predominance of 37 to 41 weeks 3/4 (75%). The profile traced of HIV-positive pregnant women constituted important subsidies to be observed by public agencies, such as gestationat a young age, to direct Public Health actions. |

O objetivo do presente estudo foi traçar o perfil sociodemográfico e obstétrico das gestantes portadoras de HIV em um hospital e maternidade. Trata-se de estudo de caráter exploratório, quantitativo, retrospectivo e com análise documental. Foram utilizados dados dos prontuários de parturientes de um hospital do interior do estado do Ceará. As variáveis analisadas foram relacionadas ao perfil sociodemográfico/obstétrico de gestantes portadoras de HIV. Do total de 1.150 prontuários analisados, 04 gestantes foram diagnosticadas como HIV positivas, correspondendoa 0,35%. Em relação ao estado civil, prevaleceram as casadas (50%); predominou o parto cesáreo (75%); o número de consultas foi de sete ou mais 4/4 (100%); em relação à idade gestacional no parto, houve predomínio de 37 a 41 semanas 3/4 (75%).
