Resumo: The COVID-19 pandemic, declared by the WHO on March 11, 2020, was and still is boosted by intense population movements, mainly of tourists and business workers. The chineses represent the third foreign community with the largest number of residents in Italy. The objective of this work is to infer the possible correlations between the disease incidence rate, of explosive epidemiological nature, and the migratory flow of chinese workers in Italy. Besides that, to discuss ethnic issues and social denialism as a cause of the spread of the virus in the aforementioned european country. The method for collecting the data presented was a text and graphics review available in the scientific literature. The high incidence of Chinese immigrants in northern Italy and the migratory flow following the Chinese lunar new year are evidenced as the main factors of the expansion of SARS-CoV-2 in the country. Moreover, it is evident the rejection of any importance of the ethnic issue in the spread of the pandemic. On the other hand, population denialism and the delay in adopting social isolation measures may have contributed to this event.

Moreover, it is evident the rejection of any importance of the ethnic issue in the spread of the pandemic. On the other hand, population denialism and the delay in adopting social isolation measures may have contributed to this event.
