Resumo: Determining Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) is a way of assessing kidney function, which can establish the extent of chronic kidney dysfunction. It is a determination that changes over the years; allows the recognition of dysfunctions at an early stage; it determines the degree of severity of the dysfunction and thus assists in clinical decision-making, being able to influence the treatment, establishing the prognosis and anticipating future complications. The aim of this study was to evaluate TGF in patients from Clinical Escola Dr. Carlos Brandt, from Faculdade de Medicina de Olinda, patients with Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertensive patients aged forty-five years or older using the CKD-EPI equation, currently recommended by the National Kidney Foundation of the USA, with the aim of evaluating their cardiovascular and nephrological due to the pattern of loss of renal function.
