The aim of the study is to explore the interrelationship of the University of Science and Health extension projects with the SDG 3- Health and well-being, as well as the principles and actions practiced under the perception of the project coordinators. A descriptive research was conducted, with qualitative approach, through structured interview. Data were obtained through structured interviews with open questions. Initially, content analyzes were conducted to assess the existing relationship, the actions taken by the extension projects with the objective of sustainable development 3 Health and well-being. The results show that some of the extension project coordinators are unaware of the actions promoted and the assumptions contained in SDG 3. It is clear that actions taken by the extension projects relate to the assumptions contained in other SDGs, which corroborates the literature that the SDGs need to be analyzed in an integrated manner, forming a network of objectives. Considering the role of higher education institutions in the social environment, through the dissemination of knowledge, they should strive for the development and application of sustainable practices. Sustainable development objectives provide guidelines that contribute to the pursuit of social, economic and environmental balance.
