A exposição, de caráter teórico e bibliográfico, analisa a relação entre a ética e a estética. Para isso, realiza uma leitura imanente do capítulo 14 da Grande Estética, de Georg Lukács. Recupera-se a relação dialeticamente contraditória entre o agradável e a estética, para em seguida recortar a articulação que a beleza mantém com essas duas esferas de objetivações superiores. Isso solicita que se enfrente o amplo, flexível e ambíguo conceito de beleza que, por suas indeterminações, cria dificuldade para a adequada definição do belo. Com o aclaramento do lugar na beleza do debate entre a ética e a estética, o artigo considera que estas duas esferas partilham da condição de que o conteúdo determina a forma. Enquanto a ética secundariza a forma aparecial, orientando-se para a essência de seu conteúdo; a estética, para poder conformar de modo realista seu material vital, procura a coincidência entre a forma aparencial e o conteúdo. Palavras-chave: Ética. For this, he performs an immanent reading of chapter 14 of Georg Lukacs' Great Aesthetic. The dialectically contradictory relation between pleasant and aesthetic is recovered, and then the beauty articulation with these two spheres of superior objectification is cut. This calls for confronting the broad, flexible and ambiguous concept of beauty which, by its indetermination, creates difficulty for the proper definition of beauty. With the clarification of the place in the beauty of the debate between ethics and aesthetics, the article considers that although these two spheres share the condition that content determines form. Whereas ethics subordinates the formative form, orienting itself to the essence of its content; aesthetics, in order to realistically conform their vital material, to seek the coincidence between the appearance form and the content. Keywords: Ethics.
