A EXPERIÊNCIA DO TRANSPLANTE HEPÁTICO PARA CRIANÇAS E ADOLESCENTES: A FRÁGIL VIDA FORTE / THE EXPERIENCE OF LIVER TRANSPLANTS IN CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS: THE STRONG FRAGILE LIFE

Estudo de abordagem qualitativa visando compreender a experiência do transplante hepático na óptica de crianças e adolescentes, por meio de entrevista semiestruturada e do desenho-estória com tema. Os dados foram analisados por meio da Análise de Conteúdo Categorial e dos desenhos-estórias, sendo identificadas três categorias: caracterização sociodemográfica dos sujeitos; ser transplantado (a): “E realmente não é como era antes” e enfrentamentos no transplante: “Dizem que eu sou forte (...) e dão muita atenção a gente”. Os resultados mostraram o perfil dos sujeitos participantes; as mudanças e limitações na condição pessoal e no modo de vida cotidiano; o sentir-se “diferente”; os sentimentos vivenciados e as estratégias de enfrentamento. Conclui-se que a experiência do transplante de fígado constitui-se como uma vivência difícil e ameaçadora, pois requer adaptações contínuas. O estudo poderá subsidiar informações aos profissionais de saúde que favoreçam um cuidado integral à clientela infanto-juvenil.  Palavras-chave: transplante hepático; criança; adolescente; humanização da assistência.   ABSTRACT   Using a qualitative approach to understand the effect of liver transplants through the experience and viewpoint of children and teens, utilizing semi-structured interviews and themed story-drawings.  The data was analyzed through Categorical Content Analyses and story-drawings, three categories were identified: social-demographic characterization of the subjects to be transplanted: “And indeed it isn’t like it was before” and facing the transplant: “People say that I am strong (…) and give us a lot of attention”.  The results show the profile of the participant subjects; the change and limitations of personal conditions on their daily way of life; Feeling “different”, the feelings felt and the strategies employed.  In conclusion, the experience of a liver transplant constitutes a challenging and difficult lifestyle which requires a transplant subject to continually adapt and overcome. The study can subsidize information to health professionals that support complete care of the child-teen clientele.   Keywords: liver transplantation; child; teenager; humanization.
