Jornalismo. Digital. algoritmo. ABSTRACT As EvgenyMorozov (2012) states, “instead of celebrating the mythical nirvana of disintermediation, we should peer inside the blackboxes of spam algorithms and propaganda bots”. In this new digital era, media and communication fields actually cross a turning point and new critical convergences at different levels. In this paper we are interested on exploring, for instance, one of the big problems for media and journalism today e.g., the emergence of new digital intermediaries which are having troubling effects in the access to online news. Digital platforms introduce an automatic system of content and distribution of the news and create new critical agents as gatekeepers, new robots and the algorithms. This “algorithmic turn” is a new automated logic strange to the traditional ethics of the media system. We think that it’s necessary to respond in an innovative way to these kind of problems, namely rethinking the model of the “analogical” era that still prevail in the system, that in a way maintain tight the new experiences and challenges of new journalism for instance, and neglect the collaborative, innovative and interactive systems. Keywords: media. journalism. digital. algorithm. |
