Resumo: The goal of this article is to show that, contrary to what many still seem to believe, Aristotle’s philosophy does recognize the possibility of genuine practical conflict between the search for the individual good and the good of the political community by the same individual. The conclusions reached here are purely negative. This paper will have achieved its goal if it is able to get the reader to acknowledge the problem and the need for further investigations.

As conclusões alcançadas são puramente negativas.
