AGROINDÚSTRIA, GRANDES PROJETOS DE INFRAESTRUTURA E REDISTRIBUIÇÃO ESPACIAL DA POPULAÇÃO: Tendências populacionais recentes no Mato Grosso e Pará

RESUMO Dois processos recentes estão redirecionando os eixos migratórios do país, afetando de maneira direta a redistribuição espacial da população nos estados do Mato Grosso e Pará. Por um lado, temos a expansão da agroindústria no Mato Grosso, que significou uma mudança demográfica importante em relação ao processo anterior de expansão da cultura de soja. Por outro lado, as grandes obras de infraestrutura do Governo Federal, que se refletem em aumento de fluxos migratórios para as regiões em que estão ocorrem, e este é o caso do Pará. Para abordar essas questões, utilizamos os dados censitários dos anos de 2000 e 2010 para caracterizar os fluxos migratórios, e analisar a redistribuição espacial da população. Focalizamos duas microrregiões: Alto Teles Pires, no Mato Grosso; e Altamira, no Pará, apresentando e discutindo as tendências de urbanização e a inserção da população nas atividades produtivas. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Migração. Hidrelétricas.  ABSTRACT Recent processes are redirecting the migration fluxes in Brazil, affecting particularly the population spatial distribution on two states: Mato Grosso and Para. From one point of view, we have the agroindustry expansion in Mato Grosso, what means a demographic change when comparing to the previous process of soy crop expansion. On the other side, the big infrastructure projects lead by the federal government are reflecting onto a growth of the migration flux towards the regions where they are occurring, affecting sites like Para state, where one of its major projects is taking place. Then, in order to analyse those two processes we take the data from the 2000 and 2010 Brazilian census round to bring up how are those fluxes being characterized and in between think about the spatial redistribution of the population. We focusing on two micro regions, each of them in a state, Lucas do Rio Verde in Mato Grosso, and Altamira in Para, starting by understand their urbanization tendencies and population labour occupation in other to contextualizing the processes we are studying. KEYWORDS: Migration.
