RESUMO Seguindo o estilo do homenageado nesta Revista, Ledo Ivo deixa falar o coração, dominado pela saudade. Fala de um José Lins do Rego que trouxe para a literatura brasileira o Nordeste inteiro, das terras gordas e verdes dos canaviais às paisagens calcinadas dos can¬gaceiros. Escrevia sem esforço, com uma soberba espontaneidade. Em seus romances vibram o fervor, a inocência e a arte de um escritor genial. ABSTRACT As grass grows. v. 10, n. 2, p. 189-191, jul./dez. 1982. Following José Lins do Rego’s style, Ledo Ivo is leaded by affectivity and by the feeling of missing something. In his opinion José Lins do Rego brought the whole Northeast, to the Brazilian literature, from the fertile and green lands of the sugar cane region to the droughty landscapes of the “cangaceiros” (brigandi of the Northeast of Brasil). He wrote without making any effort, with a great espontaneity. In his novels it vibrates the enthusiasm, the innocence and the art of an extraordinary writer. Suivant le style de celui à qui cette Revue rend l’homnage, Ledo Ivo, laisse son coeur parler, dominé par la nostalgie. ll parle de José Lins do Rego qui a transporté le Nordeste tout entier dans la littérature brésilienne, dès les terres grasses et verte des plantations de canne à sucre aux paysages calcinés des “cangaceiros”. ll écrivait sans effort, avec une spontanéité superbe. Dans ses romans vibrent l’enthousiasme, l’innocence et l’art d’un écrivain extraordinaire.
