Political culture in deep Brazil in the decades 1960-2000: reports of the French ethnologist Colette Callier Boisvert

Resumo: The work discusses the intellectual production of the French ethnologist Collete Callier Boisvert regarding the dynamics of political relations present in a city in the Agreste region of Pernambuco, investigated by the researcher for nearly half a century. It problematizes, from an analysis of the discourse of its texts: (a) the generating themes of its analytical procedure, that is, the enunciative regularities; (b) interdiscursivity, based on the study of affiliation and moments of displacement established by the researcher's narrative with the history of Brazilian social thought in the first half of the 20th century. His work laid the foundations for a fruitful analysis of phenomena such as rural and urban clientelism, the relations between chiefs and clients and the processes of social stratification in force in the interior of the Northeast during the Brazilian Military Dictatorship and in the first decades of the country's redemocratization. Clientelism.  El trabajo analiza la producción intelectual de la etnóloga francesa Collete Callier Boisvert sobre la dinámica de las relaciones políticas presentes en una ciudad de la región de Agreste de Pernambuco, investigada por la investigadora durante casi medio siglo. Problematiza, a partir del análisis del discurso de sus textos: (a) los temas generadores de su procedimiento analítico, es decir, las regularidades enunciativas; (b) la interdiscursividad, basada en el estudio de la afiliación y momentos de desplazamiento que establece la narrativa del investigador con la historia del pensamiento social brasileño en la primera mitad del siglo XX. Su trabajo sentó las bases para un fructífero análisis de fenómenos como el clientelismo rural y urbano, las relaciones entre jefes y clientes y los procesos de estratificación social vigentes en el interior del Nordeste durante la Dictadura Militar brasileña y en las primeras décadas del redemocratización del país. Clientelismo.  O trabalho discute a produção intelectual da etnóloga francesa Collete Callier Boisvert relativa à dinâmica das relações políticas presentes numa cidade da microrregião do Agreste pernambucano investigada pela pesquisadora ao longo de quase meio século. Problematiza, a partir de uma análise do discurso de seus textos: (a) os temas geradores do seu procedimento analítico, isto é, as regularidades enunciativas; (b) a interdiscursividade, a partir do estudo da filiação e dos momentos de deslocamento estabelecidos pela narrativa da pesquisadora com a história do pensamento social brasileiro da primeira metade do século XX. Seu trabalho lançou as bases para uma análise fecunda de fenômenos como o clientelismo rural e urbano, as relações entre chefes e clientes e os processos de estratificação social vigentes no interior do Nordeste durante a vigência da Ditadura Militar brasileira e nas primeiras décadas da redemocratização do país.
