Resumo: This article intends to reflect on the importance of the Discourse Analysis project, contributed by two important works, The Archeology of Knowledge by Michel Foucault and the Automatic Analysis of Discourse by Michel Pêcheux, for the understanding of discursive functioning and the scope of its effects in the society. Secondly, we will trace fundamental aspects of these works. In the theoretical-methodological notes, we will raise questions about the specific event of 1969. We will outline the situation of the development of an absolute tool in its emergence and its inquisitive function.
