Resumo: The main objective of this article is to heuristically outline some paths for a sociological analysis of Freud's psychoanalytic theory. Especially in terms of understanding the author's concept of society, observing how he developed it in his writings and to what extent this concept is still valid. In order to, ultimately, highlight the ways for a systematization of what a priori is called in this article by a “Freudian social theory”.

El objetivo principal de este artículo es esbozar heurísticamente algunos caminos para un análisis sociológico de la teoría psicoanalítica de Freud. Especialmente en cuanto a entender el concepto de sociedad del autor, observando cómo lo desarrolló en sus escritos y en qué medida este concepto sigue vigente. Para, en definitiva, señalar los caminos para una sistematización de lo que a priori se denomina en este artículo por una “teoría social freudiana”. Considerado um dos principais pensadores do século XX, Sigmund Freud desenvolveu não apenas um método terapêutico, a psicanálise, mas também um corpo teórico robusto, tendo como interesse a cultura, a origem da sociedade e a relação da coletividade com a vida psíquica individual. Como um pensador sem preconceitos disciplinares, Freud influenciou e foi influenciado por diversas disciplinas. Tendo isso em vista, este ensaio tem como principal objetivo esboçar heuristicamente alguns caminhos para uma análise sociológica da teoria psicanalítica de Freud, especialmente no que tange à sua compreensão do conceito de sociedade, como o apresenta em seus escritos e até que ponto tal conceito ainda é válido. O conjunto de sugestões esboçado neste ensaio, se realizado com sucesso, poderá demonstrar como funciona o sistema de enunciados da psicanálise sobre o social, como ele foi construído e o que ele inclui e exclui de seu horizonte. O que por si só explicitará o que neste ensaio é chamado de “teoria social freudiana”, ou, simplesmente, de a sociologia de Sigmund Freud.
