Internal migration and regional development in the Brazilian Middle North

Resumo: Regional development in the Brazilian Middle-North sub-region is covered in this article following the paths guided by migratory flows, inducers of historical formation of this space. Discussions in this way show the relationships built into the structure of a production system that characterized the structure and superstructure of this guiding regional development. Thus, it seeks to achieve the goal of explaining how migration promoted regional development of this sub-region. Historical materialism method used in this study enables the understanding of development since the space occupied by the migrant until this century. Coupled with the aforementioned method, the census data complement the effort of understanding, through the obtained results and by typifying the forms and the development model achieved.JEL-Code | N96; O15; R23.

Las discusiones conducidas en esta trayectoria muestran las relaciones construidas para la estructuración de un sistema de producción que caracterizó la estructura y la superestructura orientadora del desarrollo de esa región. De este modo se busca explicar cómo la migración promovió el desarrollo regional de esta subregión. El método del materialismo histórico utilizado en este estudio permite la comprensión de los acontecimientos ocurridos, desde la ocupación del espacio por los migrantes hasta este siglo. Junto con el método antes mencionado, se recolectaron datos del censo que complementan el esfuerzo de comprensión, a través de los resultados obtenidos y tipifican las formas y el modelo de desarrollo alcanzado.Código JEL | N96; O15; R23.O desenvolvimento regional na sub-região do Meio Norte brasileiro é abordado neste artigo seguindo os caminhos orientados pelos fluxos migratórios, indutores da formação histórica desse espaço. As discussões conduzidas nessa trajetória evidenciam as relações construídas para a estruturação de um sistema de produção, que caracterizou a estrutura e superestrutura norteadora do desenvolvimento dessa região. Desse modo busca-se explicar como os fluxos migratórios promoveram o desenvolvimento regional do Meio Norte brasileiro. O método do materialismo histórico, utilizado neste estudo, viabiliza o entendimento dos desdobramentos, desde a ocupação do espaço pelo migrante até este século.
