About the architectural patrimony the onerous status of the old building recovery is a impediment that compel the historical center to the ground. Often a additional problem is the disconnection among the building and the group identity, among thing and its collective value while symbol that unite the subjects of give collectivity. The present text makes an analysis of the place of Memory in the city in globalization times, using the foundament of Ecléa Bosi and Joël Candau about the term Memory and its places.
