The technical and theoretical constitutions of digital repositories are essential for their development and success, however, their potential for promoting teaching, research and extension is fundamental for the design of collaborative and training spaces for both those who use the collections of repositories as a source and object of research, as well as for those who work in their constitution and expansion process and who have in the repositories and, through the articulation between research groups and universities, an opportunity to get closer to the work of organization, identification and treatment of documents and materials with potential for interpretation and field of research. Considering this perspective, this article will seek to demonstrate the work carried out by the Tatu Digital Repository, linked to the Federal University of Pampa (Unipampa), Bagé campus, through the Research Group on History of Education, Digital Repositories and Historical Collections (PHERA), in its dimension of the human and productive force that plans and builds the materials made available by the repository and that has its origin in the academic banks of Unipampa's undergraduate courses. The objective is to explore the potential of digital repositories in their conception and organization process in order to demonstrate their capacity to promote Research, Extension and Innovation initiatives among undergraduate students, encouraged by scientific initiation scholarships, who begin to experience complementary to their academic-professional training. It is hoped, therefore, that this article will be able to highlight the idealization of the repository and the work carried out, matured in the potential of its students.
