Resumo: The preprint modality has been gaining strength within the scientific environment, despite being used by the exact sciences before technological advances. The research aims to analyze the productions of the SciELO Preprints collection, emphasizing the productions that address the theme of the Covid-19 pandemic. The research is descriptive, with a basic nature and a qualitative-quantitative approach. Among the procedures used, we have: the bibliographic research for the theoretical reference and the bibliometric study for the analysis of the data extracted from the SciELO Preprints collection. The research results indicate that the SciELO Preprints collection has a wide production in the area of ​​Health Sciences, with more than 60% of the total collection's share. In addition, the production of preprints related to the Covid-19 pandemic represent more than 50% of the total documents in the collection.

A pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar as produções da coleção SciELO Preprints, enfatizando as produções que abordem a temática da pandemia de Covid-19. A pesquisa é descritiva, de natureza básica e abordagem quali-quantitativa. Dentre os procedimentos utilizados, temos: a pesquisa bibliográfica para o referencial teórico e, o estudo bibliométrico para análise dos dados extraídos da coleção SciELO Preprints. Os resultados da pesquisa apontam que a coleção SciELO Preprints possui uma ampla produção na área de Ciências da Saúde, com mais de 60% de participação do total da coleção.
