System for Acquisition of Electrocardiogram Signals as a Tool for Academic Purposes

Resumo: With globalization and new digital media, it is increasingly necessary to use technology as an instrument that will collaborate with the construction of knowledge, as technology refers to something that, when developed, will facilitate the performance of work, as well as enable the understanding and application of an action. In this work, the objective was to develop a device capable of performing readings of the electrical signals of the heart, using electronic technologies, aiming at visualizing the waveform of the signal, as well as assisting academic learning in the field of electrical and biomedical engineering, making students more familiar with the instruments and concepts used by professionals in the field. The project consists of an ECG signal acquisition, amplification, and filtering circuit. An amplifier capable of amplifying these signals was developed; however, the signals are subject to random noise and disturbances that can make it difficult to analyze a signal or other procedure, and it is essential to use appropriate filters to clean and condition the data obtained with greater efficiency and clarity in your reading. The results obtained in the acquisition of the ECG signal were satisfactory, as it was also possible to develop an easy-to-understand material for academic purposes, as an aid to the entire specific community in understanding this process.

Neste trabalho, o objetivo foi desenvolver um dispositivo capaz de realizar leituras dos sinais elétricos do coração, a partir das tecnologias da eletrônica, visando a visualização da forma de onda do sinal, como também auxiliar no aprendizado acadêmico na área de engenharia elétrica e biomédica, tornando os estudantes mais familiarizados com os instrumentos e conceitos utilizados pelos profissionais da área. O projeto consiste em um circuito de aquisição, amplificação e filtragem do sinal de ECG. Foi desenvolvido um amplificador capaz de amplificar esses sinais; no entanto, os sinais estão sujeitos a ruídos aleatórios e perturbações que podem dificultar a análise de um sinal ou outro procedimento, sendo indispensável a utilização de filtros apropriados para limpar e condicionar os dados obtidos com maior eficiência e clareza em sua leitura.
