Resumo: Due to the variability of the concrete strength, it is fundamental to use statistical methodologies to establish the parameters for the concrete structures acceptance. The utilization of a large number of strength test results is very important to the validation and calibration of the existing standard codes and technical specifications. In this study a comparative analysis of methodologies to estimate the characteristic compressive strength of concrete was made. The tests results obtained during the construction of the dry dock in the Rio Grande Maritime Complex were used to carry out the comparison of the estimates of the concrete characteristic strength as defined by NBR 12655 [6], ACI 214R-02 [1] and NP-EN-206-1 [9].

A utilização de um grande número de resultados práticos de ensaios de resistência é de grande importância para a validação e calibração das normas e especificações técnicas existentes. O presente trabalho realizou uma análise comparativa entre as metodologias de estimativa de resistência à compressão de diferentes regiões produtoras de concreto.
