Socio-environmental narratives, lived and described by the Smoke Breakers of Arapiraca in Alagoas

Resumo: Abstract: This article aimed to analyze socio-environmental issues in the city of Arapiraca in Alagoas, mirroring the Smoke Breakers as a cultural group, focusing on the environment where these women lived and live. From this perspective, environmental issues experienced in the municipality are under discussion, in a seam between the past supported in tobacco rooms and in the Smokestacks, regarding the damage caused to tobacco workers and the socio-environmental discussions currently conducted in Arapiraca. The research was developed in a qualitative perspective, using bibliographic studies and interviews with some smokers as a methodological resource. Based on this research, it is understood that discussing environmental issues in a municipality is dealing with the way people are structurally organized in society and, thus, dealing with their culture and their relationships with other cultures, with how they relate to others. human beings and the environment in which they live.

Desde esta perspectiva, se discuten los temas ambientales vividos en el municipio, en una costura entre el pasado sostenido en las salas de tabaco y en las Chimeneas, en torno al daño causado a los trabajadores tabacaleros y las discusiones socioambientales que se desarrollan actualmente en Arapiraca. La investigación se desarrolló en una perspectiva cualitativa, utilizando como recurso metodológico estudios bibliográficos y entrevistas con algunos fumadores. A partir de esta investigación, se entiende que discutir temas ambientales en un municipio es abordar la forma en que las personas se organizan estructuralmente en la sociedad y, por ende, abordar su cultura y sus relaciones con otras culturas, con cómo se relacionan con los demás. y el entorno en el que viven.Este artigo teve como propósito analisar questões socioambientais do município de Arapiraca, em Alagoas, espelhados nas Destaladeiras de Fumo como um grupo cultural, enfocando o ambiente onde viveram e vivem essas mulheres. Nessa perspectiva, estão em discussão questões ambientais vivenciadas no município, numa costura entre o passado respaldado nos salões de fumo e nas Destaladeiras de Fumo, referente aos prejuízos causados aos trabalhadores e trabalhadoras fumageiras e às discussões socioambientais hoje conduzidas em Arapiraca. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida numa perspectiva qualitativa, por meio de estudos bibliográficos e entrevistas com algumas Destaladeiras de Fumo como recurso metodológico.
