Resumo: The contemporary world is marked by contradictions of all kinds, among them in the environmental and educational fields. Given this and considering the importance of Environmental Education in all educational processes, this study aims to analyze the presence and dimension of Environmental Education in official documents that guide education in our country. In this sense, it is still relevant to understand the notions of Sustainability and Sustainable Development, in addition to the possible consequences of Agribusiness for the natural Environment. To this end, a qualitative approach and the method of document analysis were adopted. In this way, this work intends to contribute to the understanding that we are part of an integral and interdependent Environment and that Environmental Education is fundamental not only in educational processes, but in all spheres of life, with an urgent need for awareness, articulation , of changing paradigms and attitudes.

Ante esto y considerando la importancia de la Educación Ambiental en todos los procesos educativos, este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar la presencia y dimensión de la Educación Ambiental en los documentos oficiales que orientan la educación en nuestro país. En ese sentido, sigue siendo relevante comprender las nociones de Sostenibilidad y Desarrollo Sostenible, además de las posibles consecuencias de la Agroindustria para el Medio natural. Para ello, se adoptó un enfoque cualitativo y el método de análisis documental. De esta forma, este trabajo pretende contribuir a la comprensión de que somos parte de un Ambiente integral e interdependiente y que la Educación Ambiental es fundamental no solo en los procesos educativos, sino en todos los ámbitos de la vida, con una urgente necesidad de sensibilización, articulación, de cambiar paradigmas y actitudes.O mundo contemporâneo é marcado por contradições de toda ordem, dentre elas no campo ambiental e educacional. Diante disso e considerando a importância da Educação Ambiental em todos os processos educativos, o presente estudo visa analisar a presença e a dimensão da Educação Ambiental nos documentos oficiais que orientam a educação em nosso país.  Nesse sentido, torna-se ainda relevante, compreender as noções de Sustentabilidade e Desenvolvimento Sustentável, além das possíveis consequências do Agronegócio para o Meio Ambiente natural. Para tal, adotou-se uma abordagem qualitativa e o método da análise documental.
