Resumo: This paper is a fl oristic study of the species of Mimosa (Leguminosae- Mimosoideae) in the “campos rupestres” (rocky fi eld habitats) of Minas Gerais, Brazil, based on the examination of specimens from 23 herbaria, and fi eld observations and collection of botanical material in Conservation Units of the Espinhaço Range and disjoint areas. 93 specifi c and infraspecifc taxa were observed. Most species are included in the section Mimosa L. (31 spp), followed by section Habbasia DC. (19 spp) and Batocaulon DC. (15 spp). Calothamnos Barneby presents nine species and Mimadenia Barneby, the section with least representatives, only one. We provide identifi cation keys, illustrations and comments on the taxonomy, popular names, geographical distribution, conservation status and habitat preference of the species.

Foram observados 93 táxons específi cos e infraespecífi cos. A maior parte das espécies está incluída na seção Mimosa L. (29 spp.), seguida pela seção Habbasia DC. (16 spp.) e Batocaulon DC.
