Leguminosae in the in situ conservation area of Fazenda São Miguel, Tapes, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil

Resumo: The present work is an inventory of Leguminosae from the Butia palm groves of Fazenda São Miguel, Tapes, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Two subfamilies (Caesalpinioideae and Papilionoideae), nine tribes, 19 genera and 32 species were recorded. The most representative tribes are Phaseoleae (7 spp.), Dalbergieae     (6 spp.) and Desmodieae (5 spp.), and the most representative genera are Desmodium (5 spp.), Mimosa (3 spp.) and Chamaecrista (3 spp.). The conservation status of the species was verified and only six of them were evaluated for extinction risk, being all these classified as least concern. The lack of conservation assessments for the remaining species demonstrates a deficiency of data on the threat levels available to the other species in the family. Concerning geographic distribution in Brazil, Crotalaria tweediana and Mimosa sanguinolenta occur only in the three states of the Southern Region of Brazil. Lupinus lanatus and Rhynchosia lineata occur exclusively in the states of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, while Clitoria nana, Lupinus albescens and Macroptilium psammodes only in Rio Grande do Sul.

Foram registradas duas subfamílias (Caesalpinioideae e Papilionoideae), nove tribos, 19 gêneros e 32 espécies. As tribos mais representativas são Phaseoleae (7 spp.), Dalbergieae (6 spp.) e Desmodieae (5 spp.) e os gêneros são Desmodium (5 spp.), Mimosa (3 spp.) e Chamaecrista (3 spp.). Verificou-se o estado de conservação das espécies e apenas seis espécies foram avaliadas quanto ao nível de ameaça de extinção, estando classificadas como pouco preocupante, o que demonstra a deficiência de dados sobre níveis de ameaça das demais espécies da família. Quanto à distribuição geográfica no Brasil, Crotalaria tweediana e Mimosa sanguinolenta ocorrem apenas nos três estados da Região Sul do Brasil. Lupinus lanatus e Rhynchosia lineata ocorrem exclusivamente nos estados de Santa Catarina e Rio Grande do Sul, enquanto Clitoria nana, Lupinus albescens e Macroptilium psammodes somente no Rio Grande do Sul.Iheringia.
