Resumo: A proposta deste trabalho consiste numa breve apresentação de Coivara da memória, primeiro romance de Francisco J. C. Dantas. A presente análise privilegia aspectos da teoria da narrativa, da intertextualidade e da metalinguagem para evidenciar o neo-regionalismo crítico do romance, bem como sua inserção na literatura brasileira contemporânea.Palavras-chave: intertextualidade, metalinguagem, regionalismo, contemporaneidade.
