Resumo: The aim of this article is to present the different forms taken by the reception of Nietzsche in France during the period 1890-1939. Our historical research approaches the T. Ribot´s Revue philosophique de la France et de l’ Étranger, the “Nietzsche-fashion” of the snobs of the early twentieth century, the First World War, and the interwar period. A very important characteristic of this reception is the multiplicity of perspectives that confronted one another several times. The French interpretations and distortions been closely linked to political motivations sometimes.

Nossa investigação histórica percorre a Revue philosophique de la France et de l´ Étranger de T. Ribot, a “moda Nietzsche” dos esnobes do início do século XX, a Grande Guerra e o período entreguerras. Uma característica bastante importante dessa recepção é a multiplicidade de perspectivas que se confrontaram diversas vezes.
