Resumo: Starting from the analysis of Nietzshe’s criticisms on the concept of subject, this study tries to enlighten the consequences of Nietzsche’s “psycophysiology” and his conception of the will to power on the comprehension of the artistic creation. The aim is to show that Nietzsche’s “new psycology” brings about a paradoxical concept of freedom by which we can understand the reasons why Nietzsche claims that “inspiration” and “intoxication” are the conditions for the creation of works of art.
